Has anybody gone to the trouble of writing alternate versions of the .MT/.TL/.ND Memorandum Macros which put title, date, name, etc on the proper line without reverse linefeeds? In lieu of this, how about macros which do null reverse linefeeds but at least increment the output line count properly? I have a printer which doesn't back up, and I don't especially mind (in drafts) having the title appear on the next line after the "Subject:" line, for example, but the line counter assumes that they are on the same line and the document gets out of synch with actual page boundaries. I'm almost frustrated enough by this to write "plug-compatible" versions of .MT/.TL/.ND for my Xenix system (so that documents can be ported to oother Unix systems for publication), but it wouldd be happy news if someone has already done this. Any other suggestions cheerfully excepted. Thanks! Steve Frysinger
