[comp.unix.xenix] What is CPIOPC in System V/AT 2.3?

wnp@killer.UUCP (12/01/87)

Microport System V/AT version 2.3 contains a binary "cpiopc",
which prints a usage message remniscent of standard cpio.
I cannot find documentation for "cpiopc" anywhere. Can someone
enlighten me as to its purpose?

Microport Techs:
Your documentation leaves a lot to be desired. How about a readme
file with the next version which gives a one-line description of every
file not documented in the standard manual sections? This would be especially
helpful for all the exotic files in /etc!

[whatsit for, whatsit do?]

Actually I puzzled over this for a while too. Do a "man cpiopc"
and you will get the information you want.

In terms of the undocumented files in the /etc directory, send
a list of what you want researched to rutgers!uwvax!uwspan!microport
and we'll discuss it in our new newsgroup. Be sure to put the number
286 in the Subject: line.

Take a look-see in the new newsgroup comp.unix.microport. I received
the newgroup this morning, and hopefully we can congregate there
instead of the net.atlarge.
