I've been fighting SCO XENIX dial(3S)...and I'm starting to go nutso.
Any help would be appreciated. The symptom is that invoking:
dial(call);
gives the following message to stderr:
/dev//usr/lib/uucp/dia: No such file or directory.
and returns A_PROB (acu problem). The CALL parameters I've tried are:
call.attr = &{my termio structure};
call.baud = call.speed = 1200;
call.line = {tried "tty1A", "/dev/tty1A", and NULL};
call.telno = "{telephone number}";
call.modem = 0;
call.device = {tried both NULL and a large, static buffer};
The applicable portions of my L-devices look like:
ACU tty1A /usr/lib/uucp/dialHA12 1200
ACU tty1A /usr/lib/uucp/dialHA12 300
My uucp *does* work, including the ACU stuff. But I'm pulling
my hair out trying to get dial() to work. Help?!? Thanks.
