[comp.unix.xenix] Double drive installation DOS/SCO || uPort

Hello --

I don't read this group religously, so spare me the flames if this topic
has been discussed recently.

This is the setup -- I have an AT style machine, and I intend to run
either SCO or MicroPort some time in the future. I have two hard drive,
one being a 72 Meg, and the other a 20 Meg. This is the problem: I want
to run both DOS products and the SCO/uPort products. Should I just go
with a DOSMerge type of setup and forget having a separate DOS filesystem,
or should I partition one of the hard drives so DOS lives on part? If
I choose the latter, what complications will arise in booting either of
the operating systems? Do you have to run fdisk all the time, or is
there some easy way to switch the active partition? If I go with a DOSMerge
setup, how compatible is this with the existing DOS? Also, any additional
comments on the interaction between the two OSes would be appreciated.

Thanks, and please reply via e-mail, so as not to clutter the net.

Chris.
