we have an altos 586 system running xenix 3.1a and are encountering the following problem: whenever we use cu to communicate with a 4381 mainframe via hayes 1200 modem, renex asynch protocol converter, and 3705 front end processor, we find that we are limited to entering approximately 400 characters from the keyboard without a carriage return, else the system locks up hosed. this same scenario occurred when communicating with another xenix system, so this may be inherent to cu rather than to the mainframe connectivity, and we are too neophyte to understand. flames to > /dev/null or /dev/dipstick dennis moran st. john medical center tulsa ok please respond via mail to: ihnp4,rutgers}pbox!romed!sajon!dmoran or ihnp4,rutgers}pbox!pete thanks in advance
