There is a bug in the Progress database system release 4.2A that occurs with SCO XENIX and at least V7 UNIX on a Fortune. When the multi-user server is started, if the database is not in the current directory, progress is started in buffered (rather than raw) I/O mode. It complains about this but will ignore the -R option to specify that it should use raw I/O. It is reported (as of 10 minutes ago) and under investigation. -- Phil Hughes, SSC, Inc. P.O.
