In the SCO XENIX System V 2.2 User's Reference Manual, in the Miscellaneous section, TERMCAP entry dated August 26, 1985, page 4 it states: PD str Sent by PAGE DOWN key PU str Sent by PAGE UP key In the SCO Professional manual, Configuration Guide section, page 2-3 it states: Next Page kN Previous Page kP Sure enough, SCO Professional ignores the PD and PU entries in termcap, and responds to kN and kP. This seems very silly. I thought this might save some of you from the manual hunting and phone calling I made to find out about this. I have requested that they bring SCO Professional in line with the Runtime docs, and I was told that an 'Enhancement Request' would be filled out for me. -- Mark D. Those are the values used in the 'new' curses for Sys V.3. Finding documentation on them can be, however, a real problem. They are not described in the current curses documentation nor used in any of the Sys V.2 terminfo's. Also included in the new version is a set of descriptions for the full 64 function keys plus numerous other (enhanced I guess) values like Shifted NEXT key and such. Since none of these are defined in BSD4.2 and I don't have BSD4.3, you could say the kN and kP are the correct values and that SCO's PD and PU should be removed.
