[comp.unix.xenix] vtem

jl42+@andrew.cmu.edu (Jay Mathew Libove) (03/07/88)

I can get people sources to vtem, but as it depends on ptys and you
only get those on SCO if you've got the ptydriver working... which
I don't.

So - who can help me get ptydriver going? If so, then I'll take that
and get vtem working :-)

Thanks, and hope I can help.

Oops - I forgot when I posted about vtem to mention:

Vtem is a public domain vt100 terminal emulator for BSD systems (it uses
ptys, so unless you got the ptydriver going, you can't use it. I wasn't
able to get ptydriver running on my SCO xenix box).

Vtem works pretty well, and is based on curses, so it may not be the
fastest things there is, but it will run on almost any terminal.

I have vtem available, and will send it to whomever wants.

If anyone has got ptydriver running on SCO Xenix, please tell me, so
SCO users can get vt100 functionality too.
