background: currently i am working for a company which manufactures 'Trusses' (Def: Trusses are what most residential home's roofs are made of) These Trusses have to 'Engineer approved' ; thus, we have to deal with a company called 'TRUSSWALL'. TRUSSWALL, is now pushing three software packages, that run under MS-DOS on IBM-PC's; they are suppose to make our life easier.. two packages are written using 'MS-Fortran' the other using 'MS-C' and 'NOVAK-GKS' (spelling?) All of these packages can only be used when some thing called 'bit-lock' device if 'pluged-in' ; (i don't know what it is!!) Trusswall is not willing to support any one running these software on IBM-PC clones !!! so: since they (Trusswall) is not willing to sell the rights to sources; i wanted to know if any one out here knows : 1) what the hell 'bit-lock'ing device is 2) i know there is a 'MS-DOS' emulator for 'xenix; so, does any one have any problems running MS-DOS programs using the emulator; specifically, programs written in 'MS-FORTRAN' and 'MS-C' & '*GKS' 3) the it matter what board xenix is running on ? i know the best way to is to go and try it out , but these programs reside on over 14 disketts (5 1/2's); i am not sure there are many dealers will let me load 10M on there harddisk. any suggestions will be appreciated aali
