Has any one used an EVEREX cartridge tape drive on SCO/XENIX ?

Yes it works fine with XENIX/286 but doesn't with XENIX/386. For 286 use select Wangtek when doing 'mkdev tape'. SCO says it doesn't support the Everex drive. Everex seems to be working on a driver for XENIX/386 according to a conversation I had yesterday. No due date for the driver but may be be relatively soon (that's my impression). ==larry --------------------------- LARRY SHIELDS UUCP: ...!ihnp4!msudoc!lunapark!larry P.O. Box 6159 BIX: lshields E. Apparently, Everex has a chip upgrade to make thier controller work like a Wangtech. I have it working under SCO Xenix 386. Talk to your distributor, they should know about it. Rob -- I once was here but now I'm not. And no one's gonna pin it on me... Robert Kenyon - {trwrb,hplabs}!felix!dhw68k!rob - InterNet: rob@dhw68k.cts.com
