[comp.unix.xenix] Resolve RDBMS/4GL

tbetz@dasys1.UUCP (Tom Betz) (04/27/88)

In the process of putting together a replacement for our old
Apple /// - Constellation network (we're going with Wyse 3216 386
and Xenix to start) I have been introduced (here, as a matter of fact)
to the Resolve RDBMS/OA/4GL system.

It looks like everything I might want, and it's considerably cheaper than
the competition... which makes me suspicious.

So, has anyone here (other than the principals of Resolve Technologies)
anything to say pro or con this product, from personal experience?

One of the things that concerns me is that applications developed using
Resolve (formerly Prevail) are converted to C code which is then compiled.

It seems that this introduces an opportunity for errors to creep in, as
well as taking time I'd rather not spend.

Comments?
