I, as one of Sandy's 134 happy customers (if it's 'free' can you still be a customer?) would like to add my voice to FLAMING John. I have been running a BBS for about 6 years, first on an APPLE, then a Collie board on a DOS machine and, after REALLY GOOD, SYSOP/USER-FRIENDLY XBBS became available, on my XENIX system. John doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. Sandy goes out of his way to assist users of his code and accepts enhancement requests quite often (and acts on them). I find the code to be quite well written, fast, and the feature of external file transfer protocols (like the DOS BBS's are just starting to implement) to be quite flexible. Keep up the great work Sandy, some of us appreciate your efforts :-))) If you'd like to try out a fairly large XBBS site give mine a call (714) 894-2246 2400/1200/300 cycle. -- Steven P. I also took exception to the flame toward Sandy. Xbbs is about the only BBS that runs on Xenix, that you don't have to pay $$$! for anyway. It seemed fast enough to me. Sometimes the "system" calls are an advantage, I am slowly removing them where they irritate me. This is a good effort, considering it's hacked from BBSC. I have been fooling around with news feeding the BBS and the code seems a little messy, but I've worked on worst.... Kevin Van de Wettering
