There have been several postings recently regarding multi-channel serial
cards. I too am interested in finding The Best 8-port card. Therefore,
I have decided to take a poll, and (obvious?) summarize to the net.
So, if you have had any experience with a multi-channel serial card,
PLEASE send me as much of the following information as you can provide.
If you're tempted not to answer, at least send the first two:
1. Vendor name and product name of the card
2. Did you like it?
3. bad experiences (problems, extra efforts, etc)
4. ease of installation (harware, software)
5. If you contacted vendor, were they cooperative/helpful/knowledgeable?
6. Used with (terminals, modem, printer, another computer, other)
7. configuration (interactive/uucp/other, baud-rate, DCE/DTE, handshaking)
8. Description of card (# of ports, connector type, configurability, etc)
9. Description of host system (make, model, cpu-type, main use)
10. Any other comments
