Well I'm still somewhat new to this Xenix world, so I'll ask you experts this... A prospective deal I have in the workings would require a Xenix OS, C compiler, a windowing environment, a database interface, and maybe some type of generic reporting system. I do not want to start from the bottom and work up. There are a great deal of things available on the market- but who knows what is best and/or works??? The bottom line is all moduals must be written completly in "C" (portablility to the NCR Towers and such). I'm looking basicly for a foundation to start working on projects in C on a Xenix system without waisting time on the development of the basic environment. I have heard of "XWINDOWS", but is that really available yet? What about SUN's MAC-Like project? Any direction on which "C" compiler is the best and what would be good "ad-ons" would be helpful.
