The grand prize for The Santa Cruz Operation's SCO CGI Graphics contest will be a GRiD 1530, 386-based laptop computer! It comes configured with a 40Mbyte hard disk, a 640x400 blue LCD display, a 2400 baud modem, 2Mbytes of RAM, a 3.5" floppy disk drive, and a carrying case. In addition, the first place winner will receive a SCO XENIX System V 386 Operating System and Development System. SCO products will be awarded to other winners. The SCO CGI Developers Contest is being held in conjuction with SCO Forum88: The Conference for Developers and Resellers, August 21-26 on the campus of the University of California, Santa Cruz, California. The Conference will feature technical and marketing sessions, panel discussions, workshops, birds-of- a-feather groups, as well as numerous recreational events such as barbeques and sightseeing tours. In addition, SCO will introduce new products and discuss its market strategies. Selected participants will exhibit their own products in an exhibition area featuring over 65 exhibits. Entrants need not attend Forum88 to participate in the CGI Developers Contest, but all contestants who choose to attend will receive a 50% discount on conference registration fees.
