Configuration: SCO Xenix 386 version 2.2.2 300 meg disk 5 meg RAM Digiboard COM/8i 8-port intelligent serial card We would like to be able to use our current graphics card: Pepper Graphics PRO1280 (1024 x 1280 x 8) with Mitsubishi monitor (1024 x 1280) We would like to know if anyone has written graphics drivers for this card and if so do they run under the above version of Xenix, and can we get a copy? As well, we also have the SCO CGI graphics software package which came free with the SCO Xenix package. Has anyone has heard of a hi-res graphics board/driver combination which runs under SCO CGI. Our real desire is to run X-Windows (X11 prefered, or X10). From the previous postings this does not seem possible with our present version of SCO Xenix. So the question is then if we get the new version of Xenix when it is available, will X run with the above graphics card? If not what should we get to make it all work, we would like to use the same monitor? Any comments and suggestions in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Please respond by email, thanks. -dennis -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dennis Vadura, Computer Science Dept., UUCP,BITNET: dvadura@water University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ont. Mr. Vadura wants to run the X Window System on his Xenix box. From the machine configuration he lists, it sounds like a multi-user machine. The X Window System software can chew up a lot of cpu cycles, so performance for other users may not be what you would like. Then again, it might. -- David Schachter
