i'm working on a project with lots of source files. i'm using make to compile them. the problem is that after changing one file and then compiling, it links all the .o files. there are a lot of .o's and when our system is under heavy use it takes a bit of time to link everything. is there some way of arranging my makefile to speed up the link part of process. any hints on making good use of make would help. thanks. -- in case it matters -> SCO Xenix 386 ver 2.2 email response please, especially if you think i'm an idiot and want to say so :-) allan krantz ......uunet!uniblab!al
