[comp.unix.xenix] Communicating with the sound generator under Xenix

jr@uplherc.UUCP (J.R. Westmoreland) (10/06/88)

I'm trying to port a CW code training program to Xenix.
Could someone tell me how to communicate with the sound generator on my '386 under Xenix.
Also, is there a program already available that does the same function.

Thanks,
J.R. Westmoreland

There is a single voice, 7 or 8 octave musical speaker driver which should
work for this function. You could just send it musical notes and spaces.
It was originally written for MicroBug, then someone ported it to 286 Xenix,
which was followed by my porting it to 386 Xenix. It should be available
from your nearest comp.sources.misc ( I think ... ) archive site - or from
here if you have rpp386 in your L.sys file.
