[comp.unix.xenix] Two hard/floppy disk questions.

croes@imec.uucp (Kris Croes) (10/26/88)

Hello Netland,

I have 2 questions. Answers could be in the manuals, I know, but probably
I looked over them.

Q1: Is it possible to install a time-out on the hard disk, just like as a
floppy gives a time-out when there is none inserted. How do you manage
    it?

Q2: How do you catch bad sectors on floppies? Variant: is there something
    like /etc/badtracks for floppies.

Thanks for all reactions

Kris.
