Hello, I have a need to add a second local network to a group of PC's already on Ethernets. The second network requires roughly 30K code and 10K data in the kernal, and the user application (TELNET, FTP, etc) programs should not require knowledge of which network the IP/TCP packets will be routed to. Also, the system should act as an IP router (internet gateway). This support is available in BSD based systems, but I am not very familiar with SYS V. Can anyone help answer these questions with respect to Xenix, Microport, or other PC UNIX's: 1) Is there support in the kernal for a second/third network? 2) Is there room in the (286 or 386) kernal for a second network? 3) Is the network/routing in Xenix/Microport/other a subset of Full Sys V.3, or BSD 4.3? 4) Are there tools for debugging the new network protocols that will go into the kernal? thanks, Mark Lewis
