I am presently using on alphacm the TrailBlazer-Plus modems; however, I am having on "hell-of-a-time" trying to find the "optimum" register settings! I have contacted Telebit and what they recommended allowed outgoing calls to work properly; however, incomimg was another story. Presently, I have it configured to allow incomimg calls at any baud rate; however, I can only call out at 9600 baud! I am running under Xenix-386 version 2.3.1 and am using /usr/lib/uucp/dialTBIT as the dialer in the Dialers file. One other question, I have noticed that SCO set register S51 to 254; however, my manual reflects that the only allowable settings are 0-5 and 255. I changed register S51 to 254 and did notice a difference. Basically, since this must be an undocumented setting, what does it do? I really would like to hear about other users T-bit settings which work for all cases so that I can change mine. Please included the changes to /etc/gettydefs too. Basically, since > this must be an undocumented setting, what does it do? > S51 = 254 cause the incoming calls to default to 19200 baud (between the modem and serial card) instead of 9600 (when S51=255). phil eschallier

Not surprisingly, everyone goes through this with their new Telebit. Here's the settings I use in dialTBIT.c for my (dumb) Digiboard COM/8 board: (MDSETUP1) "AT&FE0F1M0Q4V1X3S0=1S2=043S11=50S45=0S48=0S50=0S51=255S52=2S95=2\r" (MDSETUP2) "ATS53=4S54=3S55=0S58=3S60=0S66=0S68=255S92=1S110=255S111=255&W\r" (MDXONXOFF) "ATS58=3\r" (MDDIALUUCP) "ATS7=60S50=255S111=30\r" (MDDIALOUT) "ATS66=0S110=255\r" Recompile and run "dialTBIT -z" to reset the CMOS. I also have these Dialers entries for different dialouts (in Devices): tb1200 =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pA\pT OK ATs0=0s7=100s50=2s95=0DT\T CONNECT tb2400 =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs0=0s7=100s50=3s95=0DT\T CONNECT tbfast =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs0=0s7=100s50=255s111=30s110=0DT\T CONNECT tbfastcu =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs0=0s7=100s50=255s111=0s110=0DT\T CONNECT tbfastb =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pA\pT OK ATs7=100s50=255s111=30s110=0DT\T CONNECT \K\p\K\d Ntbfast =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs7=100s50=255s111=0s110=0DT\T CONNECT Ytb1200 =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs50=2s111=20DT\T CONNECT Ytb2400 =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs50=3s111=20DT\T CONNECT Ytbfast =W-, "" A\pA\pA\pT OK ATs7=100s50=255s111=20DT\T CONNECT -- Steve Manes Roxy Recorders, Inc.
