[comp.unix.xenix] Wyse 60 freezing on entry to VPix

root@mjbtn.MFEE.TN.US (Mark J. Bailey) (01/09/89)

Hello,

I just got a new Wyse 60 and want to run it on my VPix 1.1 thru a serial
port. I set the XPC Handshake as the manual said, and proceeded to run
VPix. I am running it through a dumb serial port (tty1a - COM1 under DOS)
on a Tandy 4000. The load up process proceeds normally with all the
right messages, etc. But when it gets to the VPIX prompt, it stops.
VPix seems to be ignoring my Wyse 60 keyboard (101 style). My Wyse 60
is set to PC COMP suring the time also.

My question is, does anyone else have any experience with getting VPix
running on a Wyse 60 and what, if any, special considerations are needed?
Serial port pinouts? Etc.

Thanks in advance. Please email responses.

Mark.
