The LOGIN(M) page for Xenix/286 states: "At some installations, an option may be invoked that will require you to enter a second `external' password. This will occur only for dialup connections, and you will be prompted by the message `External security:'. Both passwords are required for a successful login." I would like to invoke this option. Unfortunately, the quoted paragraph is the only reference that I have been able to find discussing this. Studying the output of `strings /etc/login` hasn't helped (except that the string "External security" doesn't occur). The SysV approach (using /etc/dialups and /etc/d_passwd as documented in <228@pyuxt.UUCP> (15-Dec-84)) doesn't appear to work (and I can't see any references to the files /etc/dialups or /etc/d_passwd in init, getty or login anyway). Is this actually implemented in Xenix? Does anyone know how to set this up? -- Peter Jeremy (VK2PJ) peter@stca77.stc.oz Alcatel-STC Australia ...!uunet!stca77.stc.oz!peter 41 Mandible St peter%stca77.stc.oz@uunet.UU.NET ALEXANDRIA NSW 2015
