[comp.unix.xenix] using thoroughbred OS I/F under Xenix.

I've gotten free a whole Thoroughbred Operating System complete with driver.
Obviously, I don't want the OS part of the package but I'm running SCO 2.2.3
and only have two serial ports on my machine. The Thoroughbred package comes
with an 8-port board that has virtually nothing on it except 8 8250's, a
bunch of control chips and two set's of dip switches. One bank of 4 and one
bank of 8. I've dicked around with them a bit but haven't gotten any results.
With the board plugged in my system (and com2: disabled on my multi-I/o),
SCO boots and says "8 serial ports found on COM2 AMI board" or something
like that... Obviously SCO thinks I'm using some sort of an AMI board which
is fine. Now, the problem is, none of the ports work when I try to use
them. (expected result). Hooking a light box up to port 1 (the only one
with any signals other than RD, TD, and GND) and enabling tty2a shows the
DTR is going HIGH as well as CTS and RTS. Of course though, the port isn't
functional.

What I'd like is any technical information on this board or even better,
a driver for SCO Xenix 2.2.3 ('286 please). Any bites?

Lesse, some INFO people might want:

System is just a cheapie '286 clone, 10Mhz 0 wait, 1 Meg RAM.

Markings on the thoroughbred board are "0C8000 (C)1985 50032 REV 2 COMP"
and it appears to be made by a company called "Star*Gate Technologies".
It's an 8 bit board.
