I've been trying to configure sendmail on our 386/ix system. I have this uneasy feeling that I'm missing some critical piece of documentation. I have a small binder that came with 386/ix called "supplements". This contains man pages for mailaddr(7), paths(8), sendmail(8), smail(8). I also have the "User's reference Manual" from Prentice Hall which describes mail(1) and mailx(1). The man page for sendmail(8) refers to the "Sendmail Installation and Operation Guide". I don't have this. I have picked up smail and pathalias from a local archive site. This has given me more man pages, which are helpful. But I still have this uneasy feeling that I don't really know what I'm doing. Configuring this system should not be as 'hit-n-miss' as I think it will be with the limited doc's that I have. Can anyone point me to the necessary info? Please? Regards Larry -- Larry Williamson -- Focus Systems -- Waterloo, Ontario watmath!focsys!larry (519) 746-4918
