On the "ps" command problems (returning a seek error): I called SCO two days ago and reported the problem, asking for a fix disk. Today the disk arrived, US MAIL. They must have processed it the day they received the request. The fix installed normally, and the seek errors appear to be gone. Oh yeah -- the fix was free -- not even a shipping or media charge.
