Hi there. I've recently upgraded our SCO Xenix to 2.3.1. In the process I've noticed a couple of discrepancies between the "System Adminstrators Guide" and what has appeared on our hard disk. I wonder if anyone can tell me what the truth is. First, the Guide claims that CLISTS now contain 64 bytes of data. However the include file /usr/include/sys/tty.h still shows CLSIZE to be 32 bytes. This could cause problems for driver writers who assume they only have to deal with CLSIZE bytes of data whenever they get a cblock (you guessed it, driver writers like me :-) ). Second, the documentation now shows floppy devices in /dev/dsk/ and /dev/rdsk just like on UNIX machines. However the update did not build these nodes. Are these devices in fact supported? If so what are the minor device numbers? Especially for "f0q15d" which hasn't had an equivalent on Xenix before. Respond by email unless you think interest warrants posting to the net. Thanks in advance, Ragnar -- Ragnar Paulson uunet!mnetor!lsuc!dvlmarv!tsgfred!ragnar The Software Group Limited 4701 Steeles Avenue West, Suite 201 Weston, Ontario, M9l 1X2
