I recently re-installed xenix 2.3.1 after a disk failure. The only change I made during installation was to decrease the size of the swap area a bit. When I now try to edit large files with vi, I am told "tmp file too large" and the file is truncated. I am sure that a week ago, before the reinstall, I was able to edit these files. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks! David -- +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | David McCune, Sage Publications, Inc.| No!! I picked vi off the original disk and kept the crypt version around here somewhere under a different name (I never use it anyway). I don't recall having that problem when I installed 2.3.1, but the same fix might work for you. vi is linked to 40-11 different names, but if you just copy off one of the files onto vi it should do the trick. -- Frank Bicknell; 1405 Main St, Ste 709; Sarasota, FL 34236-5701 killer!usource!frankb
