[comp.unix.xenix] SCO 2.3.1 Getty Troubles

patg@impch.UUCP (Patrick Guelat) (03/28/89)

In SCO 2.2.1-times we used to have a dialin gettydefs cycle which
started up getty at 2400 bps, going down to 1200 and finally to
300. Getty switched correctly to the next entry if the user typed
a cr.

We did the same with SCO 2.2.3, but getty doesn't seem to recognize
framing errors anymore when the user types a cr. It switches correctly
if you send a break, but that's not a solution..

I could use my own getty, but this one doesn't seem to work with
the new dialin/out - concept of hdb-uucp & friends. (BTW, how does
this one work ?!?!, no longer this SIGUSR1-into-background-kick ??)

        Any help would be appreciated

                Patrick
