I allow remote logins to my system to a guest account. Access is by telnet to the UCD data switch to which my machine is linked by a 9600 baud leased line. After users logout, the shell (rsh) remains active, and the line is effectively blocked. This does not appear to happen for guest logins through a 2400 baud modem. The question: what is the simplest way to make sure that after a logout or disconnect, everything associated with the login is dead? Earl H.
