It is a listing of every title of every manual entry in the SCO XENIX Operating System, Development System, and Text Processing packages. Each title is listed once for each word in the title, and the whole lot is then sorted alpabetically. For example, if you look up "editor", you will find references to ed(C), ex(C), ld(CP) ("link editor"), sed(C), and vi(C). The Permuted Index is uncerimoniously buried in the back of the Users's Reference, but it can be a handy tool when you're not sure which of the seven SCO XENIX binders has the information you need.
