[comp.unix.xenix] SCO PRO and an HP Plotter

raulin@tdl.UUCP (Raulin Olivera) (06/09/89)

Does anyone out there in Netland have any experience with using
an HP Plotter no. 7475A with Xenix? I don't see anything
about plotters in the documentation. The PRO documentation
devotes very little discussion to graphics devices and none
to plotters.

I am running the plotter from a serial port. I sent a minor script
to it that I converted from a basic program that HP provided to an awk
program. It seemed to do fine. All it did though was send a line that
said "communication OK". But when I create a graph in PRO and send
it to the plotter I get part of the graph and then the plotter goes
haywire and zips a couple of tangent lines across the page and stops.
At that point the error light is on and I have to reset it.

I am using a driver that came with PRO for a HP Color Plotter. This
may be the problem.

Any suggestions?
