I have been having some problems talking to the site that feeds me the news. I had Softcare II with SCO, and before it was to end I talked to the SCO tech. She seems to think it is a problem with permissions, but i only have this problem with one site. She asked that I send in debug output from uucico (-x9) and my L.sys and L-devices file. She said she would call me back the next day and never did, I doubt she every will. My system is SCO Xenix 286 rel. 2.2.1. I am using a Wyse 995 multiport card with the rev. B roms and the 1.19 driver. I have problems calling into the other system using both a 2400 baud hayes comptible modem and a Telebit Trailblazer. The other system does not have problems getting into my system, but when I call into his system, I get past his login, and when he sends the Shere message, my systems does not recognize it. If keep I try the connection several times, I will finally get in, and then everything is fine. I am not positive that sure I am interpreting the output of uucico, and I am not really sure it is on my end or not. Here is part of the uucico debug output that shows the problem. s.sysname : elec s.sysname : Allware s.sysname : allware s.sysname : rex enter ub_sst, status is : 0 Rmtname: rex in ub_sst name=Rmtname: rex imsg <^M^J^PShere=rex^@^J^M^JNO CARRIER^M^J dialer args :/usr/lib/uucp/dialTBIT:-x10:-h:/dev/tty5b:9600 Here is part of the uucico debug output that does have the problem. s.sysname : elec s.sysname : Allware s.sysname : allware s.sysname : rex enter ub_sst, status is : 0 Rmtname: rex in ub_sst name=Rmtname: rex imsg <^M^J^P< Shere=rex-omsg-<Smgse -Q0 -x10>imsg <^J^P< ROK-msg-ROK Rmtname rex, my Role MASTER, Spool - /usr/spool/uucp Ifn - 4, Ofn - 4, Loginuser - root rmesg - 'P' imsg <^P< Ptfg-got Ptfg wmesg 'U'g omsg-<Ug>send 73 rec h->cntl 73 Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? Once i get past the Shere, the transfers take place fine. -- Mark Seiffert, Metairie, LA. uucp: rex!mgse!marks bitnet: marks%mgse@REX.CS.TULANE.EDU internet: marks%mgse@rex.cs.tulane.edu
