Dear Friends, I've got a good one for you... I am desperately looking for a way to eliminate the copyright message from the start-up process of foxplus (2.1 running on Xenix 2.2.3). If it helps... we will be upgrading to 2.3 soon.ATQ0E0T&D2&C1S0=0X4S2=043 - Mark J. Graham

[ The Copyright message out of Foxbase ] This is probably illegal, but the message is kind of annoying for modem users, so: The message is not encoded in any way, so just take you favorite file editor (or a Norton like program for DOS if you don't have a nice one for XENIX (any offers?)), look for the message and '\0' it out. If I remember correctly, you can avoid the startup wait by directly specifying a do-file on the command line. Writing this I wonder if it's legal. The software is yours, so you should be able to do what you want with it, no? Richard (...!hp4nl!neabbs!richard)
