We are currently running Xenix on a 386 box with 2 meg of memory. Pathalias just needs too much memory to run on this system, and consistently stops with out of memory messages. Someone mentioned to me that there was a version of pathalias that built its data structures on disk (instead of malloc'ing them). This sounds as if it would solve my memory problems in the short term, till I can buy more. If anyone knows of such a beast, if you could mail it to me, or point me in the right direction to find it, I'd be most appreciative. br -- *RaiderNet Public Access, Murfreesboro, TN. - Middle Tenn's Unix GateWay* *Phone: (615)896-8716/(615)896-7905 Mail: BOX 2371, Murfreesboro, TN 37133* *DOMAIN: root@raider.MFEE.TN.US UUCP:!{ames, rutgers, decwrl}!killer!raider*

I'm having some problems porting pathalias to Xenix/286. Before starting, has anyone already accomplished this task? My configuration is Xenix/286 2.2.1 with 4.5mb of memory. I've got Peter's most recent version (May 89), but at the moment, all I'm able to do is to dump core or get an out of memory error. thanks, bob -- Bob Leffler - Electronic Data Systems, Financial Information Services Division 3044 West Grand Blvd., Room 11-101, Detroit, MI 48202 (313) 556-4474 bob@rel.mi.org or {uunet!edsews, rutgers, sharkey}!rel!bob Opinions expressed may not be those of my employer.
