[comp.unix.xenix] XENIX 2.2.1 key

root@ozdaltx.UUCP (root) (08/30/89)

I have a client I'm trying to do some work for and we need
to install some stuff. Somewhere over the years, he's lost
his activation key and obviously we're not getting very far.
Original install was in spring of 87. I know the key is in
/usr/sys/lib/mdep/libmdep.a, but can't figure it out. Any
help available out there?

E-mail replys please, I don't read this NG that often.
Thanks....
Scotty

A hint from someone who knows: whenever you get one of these
foolishly protected pieces of software, make a point of marking
the serial number/activation key on everything relevant. That
includes the envelope or box that contained the disks and the
relevant page of the manual. It may also help to mark the
disks, in case the box gets lost.
