I wrote some code that does a) Lotus style menus, b) Pop-up menus, c) Limited windows d) Pull-down menus and then I ported it to SCO Xenix 386. Alas, whenever I run it on a VGA color monitor, THE SCREEN IS FILLED WITH SNOW!! I am NOT using color, but it is based on terminfo (not curses) How can I get round this problem. I noticed that the Informix/SQL menu which also uses Lotus style menus, does not have this problem!! -- ** Writing error-free code MUST be magic! Why else is it sooo difficult to do?

The current versions of Informix-SQL, -4GL, etc., all use a somewhat customized version of curses (using termcap, not terminfo). Could be problems with the terminfo entry in use. -- Alan S.
