Several people have suggested that I need to have a /dev/fd1135ds18 to use my 1.44 Mbyte 3.5" floppy. It has also been suggested that I can use mknod to do this, but I need to know the appropriate minor device number. Could someone tell me what the minor device numbers are for /dev/fd1135ds9 and /dev/fd1135ds18? The major device is 2. You can get the number by typing ls -l /dev/fd1135ds9 ( or ds 18). Is this all that I need to know? Bill Pearson

The easiest method of adding the proper device files is using the "fixperm" utility -- "fixperm -c -d FD135 /etc/perms/rts". -- __ __| __ __ LaVerne Olney -- Med-Systems |/^\/^\ /__) / | (__ \ / (__ Medical Office Management Software | | | \__ \__| ___) \/ ___) Kingsport, TN 37660 U.S.A.
