If anyone feels like lending a hand with the following problem it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get transparent print at a remote site through a couple of Telebit modems. I'm using a Computone 3.00 IP nports=8. The support department of Computone says things like "uh, maybe jump pin 6 to pin 8 and see if that works". Not to helpful! The host is an Everex 386/20 (Not a step machine) with one serial port and one computone card. I'm running SCO Xenix 386 V2.3.1 The modem at the host is a Telebit TrailBlazer Plus with the following configuration. E0 F1 M1 Q4 T V1 X3 Version BA4.00 S00=001 S01=000 S02=043 S03=013 S04=010 S05=008 S06=002 S07=040 S08=002 S09=006 S10=007 S11=070 S12=050 S45=000 S47=004 S48=001 S49=000 S50=000 S51=254 S52=002 S53=001 S54=003 S55=000 S56=017 S57=019 S58=002 S59=000 S60=000 S61=045 S62=003 S63=001 S64=000 S65=000 S66=001 S67=000 S68=255 S90=000 S91=000 S92=001 S95=000 S100=000 S101=000 S102=000 S104=000 S110=255 S111=255 S112=001 S121=000 N0: N1: N2: N3: N4: N5: N6: N7: N8: N9: OK Cable from Computone port 0 (RJ45 8 pin connector) Computone Modem CTS 1------4 DTR 2-----20 TD 3------2 GRND4------7 CD 5------8 RD 6------3 RTS 7------5 The ttys file is set as follows 1mttym00 The gettydefs file is as follows m # B9600 HUPCL # B9600 CS8 SANE HUPCL TAB3 ECHOE IXANY #\r\n@!login: # m The Devices is as follows. ACU ttym00 - 1200-9600 dialTBIT The remote site is a Wyse 60 with a Telebit T1000 in the default settings. (Hold down reset and power up the modem) With the TB on the dump serial port remote access works fine. When I put the modem on the computone port I can't even get a log in. Recommendations about other intelligent card will be welcome! Thanks!!! -- John E.
