We are going to be using Xenix as the platform for a time and billing system we are writing. One feature that would be really nice is the ability to link into the database with a general SQL type interface. i.e. we need a database manager with _BOTH_ a C subroutine interface so that our applications can extract information directly; and a SQL interface so that a user can simply query the database to find (for example) all customers who are in Washington state that owe between $10,000 and $100,000; and do all the other neat things that a SQL permits. The other feature that we are looking for is a good desktop publishing system, because neat looking output is an absolute "must have" for this system, and the people using it are _NOT_ going to want to learn how to drive troff. Please E-mail suggestions since we aren't yet getting this group from our feed. Thanks in advance. -- dg@lakart.UUCP - David Goodenough +---+ IHS | +-+-+ ....... !harvard!xait!lakart!dg +-+-+ | AKA: dg%lakart.uucp@xait.xerox.com +---+
