I have a customer that has a structural analysis program that runs under DOS. He wants to run it under vpix, but it requires something like 595K, and a typical vpix session only leaves him with 573. Anything I can do about that, or is he sunk? Thanks. -- Bill Mahoney bill@zycor.UUCP The holiday season: time to wonder if the Salvation Army has tanks...

VP/ix does support the use of EMS memory. Check the manual to be sure, but I believe you can use up to 1MB of EMS. Another approach: If everything is running from pseudo-drive C: (a horrible way to go, but ....) You don't need the netup command in autoexec. That may buy you the needed memory. j |%|John Lawitzke, Dale Computer Corp., R&D |%|UUCP: uunet!frith!dale1!jhl Work |%| uunet!frith!ipecac!jhl Home Inquiring minds just wondering. |%|Internet: jhl@frith.egr.msu.edu
