Greetings! The Equinox board IS impressive on output speed. They blow Digiboard, Anvil, etc... out of the water --no contest. Input speed is not as good, they're probably maximized for output, which kinda makes sense. We think that the speed comes from their drivers. Now to be far, I'm sure Anvil kicks butt as far as % cpu used over Equinox. When I can break away from my System Administrator duties, I'll summarize what we found in-house benchmarking of us (Arnet), Computone, Digiboard, Anvil, and Equinox. Terry Neu of Arnet, who did the research, is going to write a column in the Multiuser PC News about his findings. One thing, he doesn't include any charts or graphs, he just explains how each company can win the benchmark testing. Terry refers to an "engineering triangle" -- one side is speed, one is cost, and the other is excellence. You get to pick two of the three. You can build it reliable and cheap -- but it won't be fas!
