[comp.unix.xenix] need perl for 286 Xenix

usenet@carssdf.UUCP (UseNet Id.) (12/01/89)

I am looking for an executable xenix 286 version of perl 3.0. It is
my impression that a 286 system cannot compile this due to the table
limits of yac, but that a 386 version (with perl patch _six_) could
generate a 286 compatible version.

Is there someone that could help me with a tar diskette? or a uucp
connection.

According to usenet@carssdf.UUCP (UseNet Id.):

While this is all true, a better approach is to have a friend run Yacc and
then compile his yacc output on your machine. Thus you have sources, so you
can fix bugs and apply (some) patches.
