[comp.unix.xenix] SCO TCP/IP woes...

mitch@fedeva.UUCP (Mitch Wood) (12/05/89)

Well, I have been trying to load in SCO TCP/IP for a month now. And with
their assistance (er.. ugh.. non-assistance). I got the software loaded
and it comes up ok and says that it is loaded, and inet & such are running,
but when I try to telnet to another machine on the ethernet, it says....
Trying...... and never returns.. 1. I have /etc/hosts set up properly
2. I did load SCO STREAMS runtime 3. I did check the Western DIGITal card
for correct IRQ and such. All ok...

Now.. what did I forget..?

Help!!!

Thanks to check (forgive if you have already):
	1. /etc/hosts
	2. subnet mask
	3. your net address

We're running on a number of machines here using both enet and SLIP,
and everything looks good. We have one machine which won't accept rlogin
or deliver mail, but I assume that's a setup problem since the others
work.
