I am using SCO Xenix 2.3.2 with VP/ix 1.1.1 (Update A). I have added a parallel port for an HP ScanJet Plus scanner. I tried the scantest software that came with the unit. The test kept giving an error that it couldn't find the interface card. I tried all four different switch settings for the interface card that were offered by the installation software, none of which were recognized by the scantest software. The software that is used for scanning seems to access this parallel port directly. Can this be done in VP/ix without setting up some sort of COM(N) port in vpix.cnf??? Does it have to reference some hard device file in Xenix??? How? :^() Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Thanks, Jeff
