Has anybody tried to add another shell (say ksh) to the list of possible
shells to use in sysadmsh ?
I have modified the /usr/lib/mkuser directory, to add a ksh directory with
mkuser.defs, and mkuser.init files, and setup access. When I use F3 menu
in sysadmsh, under Account->User->Create, to list the different shells, it
lists ksh, but, when 'useshell' runs, it complains with:
useshell: File Control database inconsistency
useshell: Not authorized
Is there a program to update the database after it changes?
			Thanks in advance.

Look at the file /etc/auth/system/files and copy the listing for /usr/lib/mkuser/sh substituting ksh (or bash, or whatever shell) for sh. Then it works fine. ==larry LARRY SHIELDS USENET: ...!frith!lunapark!larry P.O. Box 6159 BIX: lshields E.
