Hello all, Lately I have been having a problem with one of my SCO Xenix machines. The machine is a Compaq 386/20 Deskpro, running SCO Xenix 2.2.6, and I am using a Telebit+ on /dev/tty1A. The system has been running perfectly for long time. Recently, while dialing out to two other machines (one running 386/ix, and the other running 4.2 BSD Unix I believe -- they are both using telebits) a strange thing happens. If I do a uucico -r1 -x9 -Ssitename I get the following results: my machine dials sitename, logs in, the uucp conversation begins, and then I get: *** TOP *** - role=1, And that's the end of the conversation. My system keeps the phone line open, and the LCK files remain in /usr/spool/uucp. To further complicate the problem, it doesn't happen all the time, and I can't seem to figure out under what situations it does happen. Also, my LOGFILE looks like: marcs sitename (3/8-15:01) SUCCEEDED (call to sitename) marcs sitename (3/8-15:01) OK (startup) If I don't kill the uucico processes, and then remove the LCK files, the phone line is useless. I have checked the modem's roms and registers, and the cable. I have also rebooted the machine to make sure that the serial port is being reset properly. Does anyone out there have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem.
