Computone makes a board that they call their "Cluster Controller". It allows
you to connect up to 4 16 port "Cluster Units" to the board. I haven't used it
but have had good experiences with their tech support and products. Your mileage
may vary and others probably will disagree with me.....

I have been using the Specialix boards and am very happy with them.
They only take one slot and come in 4 and 8 port modules that may
be daisy-chained together without taking additional slots as you
expand the system. All you have to do is plug in the new ports to
the existing ones and reboot the machine!

I know people who actually use these things at 58.4!

They also support remote printing through a logged-in terminal without
difficulties.

We are running Trailblazer+ modems with no difficulties whatsoever.

I have no affiliation with Specialix, just a satisfied VAR who doesn't
like to screw with kludges (we won't mention Computone...:-().
