[comp.unix.xenix] online service

I have an ALR 33 mhz 386 with 2 150 meg hard drives. 10 megs of memory
5 incoming lines. The system is usefor my clients to access everyday
to download one or more files. Total bytes for each user is about
10,000 to 90,000 every day. The time on-line for each user for downloading
is about 3 to 20 minutes. After they log in, they get 3 prompts, once they ans
swer the prompts, they start the downloading. We use y-modem batch
protocols. We are running Xenix 2.3.2 The QUESTION
is how many users are we able to handle without the system getting too
slow? And when we need to update our hardware, what type of configuration
are we looking at? EISA, Another 386, etc.
The number of users we expect will be between 50 to 500. With all of
them calling at different times of the day using their own pc's.

Any response would be appreciated. Thanks.
