[comp.unix.xenix] Sendmail with MX?

nelson@sun.soe.clarkson.edu (Russ Nelson) (05/31/90)

Does someone have a version of sendmail that knows about MX records compiled
for Xenix? I'll be needing a binary, as my software development system
hasn't arrived yet.

I've seen a couple of requests for Xenix Sendmail, so here it is. I got it
working a few months ago. I posted pointers to it and people noticed
that the compressed TAR file had errors and it took me a couple of weeks to
get time to fix that. Well, it has been fixed for several months now.

Warning: I have not tested the networking part of this stuff ported to
Xenix as I have no network to test the Xenix on, but the regular UUCP part of
the SENDMAIL works great.

I have MUSH, DELIVER, SENDMAIL, PATHALIAS, and have completely replaced all
the Xenix e-mail stuff with these PD programs. It works great as a
super-smart e-mail MTA, MUA and router.
